Hi Just driven for 5 hours to put a deposit on a 2014 GRiSO se. I've not had a motorcycle for 12 years, but I've wanted a GRiSO since I became aware of them about a year ago. Have I made a mistake?[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I agree with Chris - waiting too long is not good...

That's an odd question to ask on a GRiSO forum. Anyway, welcome to the Ghetto, Degs!

Degs, I have the same bike -2014. Purchased new in 2014 in Houston, TX. I had waited, or had a sabbatical of 31 years...when I got on the bike to ride it home from the dealer, in a big city, I thought to myself, that I must have been out of my mind. It been a awesome bike and the Ghetto has made it so. Great help here and knowledge.

Woods in North Wales. 10 hour round trip... Paid too much but it's immaculate and has just1235 miles on it.

It looks like it was "werf it" That low mileage is worth a lot
- i have spent 6 months and £900 repairing and replacing 28,000 miles of rust and riding - and that is without looking at the whirly bits inside

Whats too much, they SE's are going for £8-£9K from dealers dependant on mileage/extras. Churchill is selling a 2014 for £9k they picked up for £6500 via part exchange. There's a semi tasty 2012 someone is asking 9K for, its only let down is the Martini paint scheme. I mean who drinks Martini yuk!
I would say welcome but you were here before me

It’s a funny old world. I live close by to Woods, but this summer travelled up to Durham to get my 2015 Rosso privately, with 4K miles.
Price is such a subjective thing, but it’s currently fuelled by the pandemic and a clamour to buy new toys, replacing foreign holidays.
Bob ps. Welcome, you were here before me also

Hey Degs. Welcome.
For a long time I also thought that a GRiSO would be too much bike for me. The thing is, unlike many sport bikes the GRiSO performs wonderfully tame around town & commuting (and even more so with a Beetle engine map). While the engine will be happy to drop revs well below 3K, when cruising you should keep it at or above 4k.
Mind you, get above 5k and the silliness begins.
Above 6K and your tame cruiser has become a sporty grin inducing licence loosing weapon.
It's a bike for all moods. Well that's what I think anyway.
Enjoy!

That's what I've found since March. At the time I was wondering if a V7 would suit me more, but I probably would have been bored by now.
