new to GRiSO ghetto and new owner of 2013 1200SE

G'Day All,

I am new to the group/forum and new owner of a 2013 1200 SE, I have two other Bikes a 2002 Harley Road Glide and a BMW R1200R, been riding since 12 and started out on a Honda 90 SS.

Yes I am from Texas the Lake Conroe area, love cowboy action shooting in addition to riding, father of 3 sons and husband to 1, and 68 years young and loving life.

Since I purchased my GRiSO I have changed out that ugly can of an exhaust and installed GPR exhaust, lowered the driver foot pegs with the Knight Design type in black, changed out the mirrors, tidied up the tail, removed the exhaust headers and cleaned them up and spray painted them black with the DEI spray coat and used the Black titanium exhaust wrap and wrapped them, installed the Dart wind screen and now have the gunfighter look I was looking for, only thing left to do for the moment is drop a map in and tune it up a bit.

I have been reading through the forum and have found it to be very useful and informative, look forward to it!

Welcome! I'm in Austin although my GRiSO lives in NC. I will be riding up to the Virginia Rally this weekend and will enjoy a break from this heat! I've got my EV with me in Austin, however, if you ever want to meet up.

I also have a Frontier that I've never tried out so I'd love to get some pointers from you. I tried to find a Vaquero but seems like they've all disappeared.

Be sure to get those Pics up! The Blokes here can be a awfully whinny if they don't get their Pics!

I'm surprised to say that the pipes look good.

The pipe wrapping looks pretty good indeed; what mirrors did you you put on? And, how much lower did you get the foot pegs? ... thinking the same. Cheers.

the mirrors i got off Amazon $70 for the pair, i them on my Harley too, and found that they function really well at speed and look good doing it:

the pegs i got from Knight Designs - 1" lower, i have the on my BMW and they made a big difference, not so much on the M/G

Really appreciate your response. I'll look the mirrors up. I think they look pretty cool. I just fitted the Aprillia mirrors everyone seems to use but I think they come out to far. Look like antennas. The foot pegs have been a bit of a dilema for a lot of GRiSO riders. Hard to get lower but the Knights might be the go. I'm only 5'7" so cuurent position OK but not super great on a distance ride. I'm also waiting on some 25mm risers from Fast by Ferucci so that will sit me up a tad straighter. Also changing pipe ... going to Mistral Chonical out of Italy. Been waiting for months. Touch base again soon. Cheers and thanks again.
