I thought about getting the KC34 deflectors but they seemed a bit expensive but they’re not as expensive as it turned out a couple of months back.
This revelation happened on a straight worn out road in the pouring rain with liberal sprinkles of hydraulic oil, once GRiSO had finished sliding up the road she took out a wooden fence and lay on her side idling perfectly with the right hand cylinder submerged in mud - I’ve had better days .

If it was over here it would be a statutory write off - never again to be registered - it's why Waterbottle (Ron) has a track GRiSO.
Hope you are OK!

All good thanks Mark, just a sprained knee which ironically was caused by the body armour gripping the road once the 3 layers of fabric had worn out. Had to get a ‘12 rollered Stelvio until I find can another GRiSO.
I had to use the insurance as it’d taken me ages to get it back on the road again, me and the local Guzzi agent got it up to £10000 to repair but as the frame was creased it was a class ‘B’ break only and we know the breakers that it went to and it’s probably just gone in the crusher.

Actually, compared to a V11 a GRiSO is built like a tank! Some things are just unserviceable though.
Hope you're OK.

Those Guzzi paddock stand bobbins took a fair bit of hammer, I’d certainly look at making something similar to a crash bobbin on any future GRiSO perhaps a bit bigger to save the brake lever.

Wow.
And, what the others said, too.
Glad you are OK.
So easy to say from here "it's only metal and rubber, etc.," but it's more than that when it's yours.
Best wishes,
Bill

Wow indeed!!!
Glad to hear that you "only" have a sprained knee. It must have been quite a slide: that cylinder head cover looks like it was made of cheese.

Too bad about the bike,
But great to hear that you were able to walk away and ride another day, the Stelvio is not a bad substitute,
