GRiSO 1100 Oil capacity

today I did my oil and oil filter change on the GRiSO 1100.

What I noticed: I filled 3 liters ... on the dipstick is almost 3/4 vol ... even after a test drive afterwards ... the dipstick remains almost full hung up ...

Is it like this?

There should be 3.6 liters in it ...

3 litres is all you need.

Or sometimes even less.

How much oil the engine will tolerate depends on a number of factors but I can guarantee you that if you try to keep it 'Full' you will end up regretting it.

We just changed the oils on Phil's (Trevor's old) 1100. Again 3 litres laft 3/4 full on the dipstick. We left it at that.

no, I understand that ...

it was the same at Guzzi earlier. I always drive half to 3/4 of the dipstick.
I am just amazed that it is still like that ...

3.6 liters in the documents
3 liters are enough ... although I also renewed the oil filter
