| So I've been busy on my GRiSO 1100 that had been a bit neglected I've adjusted the valves (2 were a bit out) I've balanced the TBs (both screws were open) I've cleaned up the cables so the throttle actually closes and reset the TB position I've changed the plugs and swapped the K&N for a standard filter I've swapped the jubilee clips on the exhaust for exhaust clamps There is absolutely no difference in how it rides admittedly I thought it rode ok before but I can see now why people neglect them ! Next is a Beetle map, honestly I'm not expecting much because I don't seem to have the problems others have, for which I suppose I should be grateful. | |

| A Beetle map is transformational. Just you wait and see. | |

| Thanks...
Just changed the oil - only done 2k since the PO paid to change it, looking how black it was I have my doubts it was done.
The bike seems to run so much better now - placebo effect I suspect | |

| Bbbbbbad,
Good for you for establishing a good state of tune before changing the map. I hope you'll carefully evaluate and report on performance before and after the swap.

| on getting the engine serviced. Two maintenance tasks that surprised me at how simple they were yet had good results; change the clutch fluid, which gets dark fast for some reason & in my case make the clutch stiffer. Get a Beetle map which smoothed out the snatchy throttle, especially the on / off position when getting into a turn. That plus the TB adjustment & valves made the bike easier to live with. | |
