The MPH kit was already installed and I would not have bought the kit.
I would have snipped the wire and done the mod myself and certainly with a fuse.
I did not buy a Shorai.
I have 3 now and I am looking to make my own for any future battery replacements hopefully.
I should probably start a thread about construction techniques and BMS selection here or maybe on a battery forum for input from more knowledgeable people.

This is in my S40 Suzuki thumper for 3 years now next month,
Battery Tender Lithium Iron battery 240A 10-14AH
I think the Battery Tender battery is discontinued and I do not know the reason, but it has worked well for me.

This is in my Breva 750 for 1 year,
FirePower Featherweight Lithium Battery HJTZ14S-FP-IL

This is in my V11 Sport Naked for 1 1/2 years,
FirePower HJTX20HQ-FP Featherweight Lithium Battery

Like Beetle, I always leave the key in the switch. It takes 3-4 months to drain the battery.

I keep my key in the switch always. No issues.

AntMan DO start a LiFePO4 battery thread - there's more than enough interest from many of us.

I checked my battery drain with key in & out. I used my calibrated Fluke 87.

Constant 1.9mA with key in or out.
Jumps to 10.48mA momentary every 3 seconds when the "Anti-Theft" light blinks.

I've know idea where Roy's 160mA comes from.

My fix for the parasitic drain. Just loosen the blue knob a couple of turns and my ground is disconnected.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I never said that lol, 160 microamps 40 microamps to each flasher lamp if you take out the bulb and put your meter in the socket.
Anything over 4-20 milliamps would freak me out  affraid (Instrument technician insider joke)
I never tried to read the total leakage,
I have the same meter only mines a bit older,

LOL - When I started working we were using 3-15 psi as signal range across most original oil refinery units .....to capture the 'data' into computer system the pressure inputs were multiplexed (rotating pressure head to sample all the individual pressure input 'channels/pipes') & then pressure measured at 4-20 mA to give signal to Process Control Computers......
