You won't need new cables, just the caps. NGK SB05E or SB05F depending on whether you are using spark plugs with the 'Fat' terminal on the centre electrode or the 'Threaded' one.
Simply unscrew the factory caps, (Depending on model they will either have a threaded spike that screws into the plug lead or a threaded brass inset on the end of the lead which screws into the cap.) if the latter of the two choices above snip off the brass fitting as close to it as you can and then install the new cap. If it's the earlier type just screw the cap on. It's not a bad idea to tie a cable tie around the top of the cap to aid in pulling it off next time but always try and pry them off from underneath rather than pulling from the top.
Once the new caps are on you'll need to bend the HT lead at a tight angle to get it to fit under the lead cover on top of the rocker cover but it is entirely doable even if it looks a bit sketchy as you're pressing the lead cover down to screw it on.
As to where you can get them? Any old 'Wottalottacrap Auto' type place like Napa or Pep Bro's should be able to get them if they sell NGK products. If you run into one of the pimply, nose picking classes who says "We don't sell bits for motorbikes." Stab him in the throat with a knitting needle and take your custom elsewhere. If push comes to shove you can always go to Cycle Queers or one of those big accessory places you have in the US and pester them but they'll probably charge more and you'll have to talk to an oily punk with too many tattoos and hair like a startled cat who thinks he knows everything and you'll have to kill him too....... All the slaughter gets tiring after a while..........

Or just do a search on bay of fleas, boring compared to Pete's approach though. Link to Ebay.... (Add a description to trim these ridiculously long eBay links.)
The easiest, and gentlest way to remove the spark plug caps is to pop them off by loosing the valve covers. the leads will follow the covers.

Related: The NGK LB05E-R plug caps fit the 1100 leads, I fitted them as a cosmetic rather than a necessary exercise recently. I like the red (more maroon) colour. The NGK lettering does not come coloured in, I filled it in myself. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
