Re mana handle bars ? Are they narrow or is the sweep back angle more comfortable?

Mana bars were popular with the early 1200 Sport brigade - they had more rise and more pull-back, from memory they were slightly narrower than the original Sport ones. Not sure of the difference on GRiSO though. I put 20mm spacers under mine, and they have been like that for more than 10 years. Seems to work for me.
Original Sport bars are WIDE, but great when manhandling the pig into corners and riding rough dirt roads. Just saying.

Yep, more rise and more pull back. I had a set on my GRiSO for a while.

hey beetle... are they significantly narrower?
I found filtering a little slow when I test rode the SE a while back, so I'm looking to streamline....

Yes, they are significantly narrower. Owning a Mana I almost put a set on my GRiSO but in the end I inherited a set of aftermarket bars from a wreck that I prefer. Can't remember what they are right now mind. If you're interested I can tell you when I get home.

GDay Pete.
Happy for any info or dimensions of Mana handle bars or what you are using.
As Lazlokovacs mentioned city riding on a GRiSO is fraught I was thinking of maybe the Rizoma Bar

Yeah, I think mine are Rizoma. I had a pair of extra Mana bars Mark gave me but I lent them to Peter in Townsville.i think I need to get them back though as my bars on my Mana are bent from a tip-over!

City riding, as in filtering? Don't try this with Sport bars (or with Pete's extra wide/bulky saddlebags) as some mirrors will get remodelled!

I have Aprilia Mana bars fitted to two of my 1200 Sports 2V, and one with Zeta bars. All are better than the stock bars.
I took some measurements in case you're interested.
Zeta 04-541 bars 0.71 kG (original 0.73 kG) 776mm tip to tip (original 768mm) 18mm higher, 35 mm closer than original
Aprilia Mana bars 0.62 kG (original 0.73 kG) 776mm tip to tip (original 768mm) 38mm higher, 95 mm closer than original

Wardest,
Did you settle on a Rizoma bar? The MA009 piques my interest, good rise that would seemingly negate the need for separate bar risers, and a good bit narrower than stock as well.
Looking forward to your input, and any others who may have opted for this bar.
Best regards - Don

GDay Don
I have a MA009 in black . It’s part of a mod program I am hoping to do during the Northern Summer (winter) I have a new Muffler maybe a belly pan , re powder coat the wheels, oil cooler housing etc. When and if i do the handle bars I would like to replace the Master cylinders to the new brembo Radial type . With new hoses etc. Problem is, Italy is shut down so I have to buy shelf stock and the Australian dollar has hit an all time low. So my plans are a little slowed down due to current circumstances. Will keep you posted

Grand plans for your girl, eh? I'm just looking to change up the ergos somewhat, and think these bars can help.
Thanks for doing the leg work and finding them! Good luck with your ride!
