Quite normal for a CARC that's been doing hole shots & wheelies. I've seen them crap out at 17K mi. Yes, quite normal if on & off the gas alot.

Ok. I was wondering whether it had something to do with the hugger that is attached to the torque arm and since its lopsided to the left, may be the cause over time.

Seems the rubber should hold up better. How about replacing the rod with an 1100 Sport piece where it's solid and adjustable. It may not be as soft or un-noisy. May make a racket. Ever listen to it w/o a helmet, you can hear it rattling. The whole back of bike shutters and wiggles.
I don't like the clips they designed in them. A PIA to get a scribe under end of wire.

Whatever the issue, get it replaced sharpish. I neglected a loose torque arm bolt, at the swing arm pivit, causing the frame bracket hole to oval over time and eventually fail. Pain in the backside to get a new bracket welded.
