Greetings all
Before I make a complete numpty of myself and scar both the bike and my knuckles, are there any tricks and traps to removing the reaction rod bushes for replacement.
The clunking has finally got to me, and reading about others getting restored gear changing euphoria has got my spanner hands itchy.
Adios

Hi again
Im still stumped on this one barring cold chisel technology.
The two alloy end caps/seals that are at each end of the bearing and pretty stubborn. Do I need a special tool to remove them?
Cheers

Not that I'm aware of. I've never done this though so I don't know for sure.

Cheers for that Beetle.
They talk about the swingarm end. Seems straight forward at that end, but Ive yet to try.
When I twist the CARC end of the reaction rod, it feels very gritty and rough. So plan to replace bearing.
All that remains is to remove it without twatting the alloy end caps.
Cheers
Andy
