Just completed my first long distance ride over 500km. A total of 9 days and 3026km. First 7 days of the trip sitting at around 90-100km per hour averaged 5.7 liters per 100km, total for the 9 days 7.2 liters per 100km. Unfortunately my Rheumatoid Arthritis was getting the better of me and decided to push hard to get home. Bike ran flawlessly. Glad I'm only 5'7 though my knees were shot. I'm 6'7 and was asked if my knees hit the heads...... "aren't they supposed too??"

Wasn't my knees hitting the heads but the constant bend. Rode Menzies to Perth on the last day 724Km's. Wasn't my intention but all the accommodation in Merredin was booked and couldn't be bothered with the tent again so continued on. I think that was the killer for me.
