| 95 octane is not your normal option at the pump (who in the heck is selling that stuff? and why? must be a local market for it). I don't notice that much difference between summer and winter gas down here. The car seems to loose perhaps a mile per gallon and the wrist action completely hides any difference in gases on the motorcycles. On the other hand, my inner gas tank goes flat in the summer - I don't handle the heat very well so I'm keen on getting the hell out of town once we both retire. | |

| Rboe - Tom Thumbs on Bell sells VP racing gas right by my house [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]the have VP 95 and VP 100 at the pump. This is awesome Gas by the way.. we would use this at the race track. Summer in my truck and all my vehicle I get about 10% less gas mileage. the problem is I grew up in Houston,Texas and 93 was the norm without this summer grade shit we have here... Or gas blows.. Some manufactures offer full detergents in regular but valero, costco, circleK etc don't... I know you don't ride as aggressively as I do with the right hand so you might not notice but I do. | |

It is ok however needlessly expensive, a violation for street use, and does not play well with eth fuels when mixed...will kill the cat in short order and 02 sensors if that matters.

This fuel does not contain any metal compounds and will not damage catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. plus is smells great when burning. I usually get a tankful in the fall as I put the bike away so it doesn't have any of that nasty "ethanol" shit in it. no more expensive (really) than tanking up in Europe.
