| We overnighted in Rutherglen in Victoria. When we left the Cafe we had breakfast in at 9:30AM the temperature by the pretty accurate thermometer in the van was 42*C. It’s expected to crack 45* in Shepparton this arvo. In Bungendore it’s a balmy 38*!

| I want to know what Mark is going to do with all those mirrors? I hate the things, have 1 on each bike. Short stem round that goes down and out from bar. I look under my armpit. Always had them like that, hate shit sticking up in the air. | |

| The results are in. These are the best mirrors I have ever used. A minor blur at 80 in 4th, but sharp and clear everywhere else. | I’m a mirror malcontent as well. Those glassless ones are intriguing. I feel a wallet rape brewing. Cursed Krauts. | |

| Look good, Mark. Looks like they fit in the 10mm groove in the CRG bobbins? Being German engineering, there is access to the ball end for future adjustment, isn't there?
Cooler yesterday - good enough for a 600k Bylong loop, with a detour via Glen Davis - some rain over the Bells Line, but sunny at Rylstone & some new to us roads, with scenery. Don't think it got over 25C.

They have a 22mm brass bushing which can be removed for use on 25mm bars. I didn't want to expand the bushings too far to get them over the lip on the edge of the CRG bobbin. I'm sure it could be done, but I wasn't about to force it. It looks like the ball tension is adjustable. | Beautiful mirrors! I thought I was finally done customizing my GRiSO, but maybe new mirrors are next.

| Quadrophenia, no less - don't remember any Beetle's in it though.
Mods Vs Rockers. A sad movie, but I like the soundtrack, especially the opening one.

| Interesting. My GRiSO came with the chrome 'FAR' mirrors. And I actually really liked them. Until one of the special dome-shaped mirror nuts sheared off, and of course these nuts were unfindable as a separate part and those FAR mirrors are quite expensive.
So I went for the black Aprilia mirrors, who were nice and affordable and I read some good reviews on them. But I actually like them less than the original chrome mirrors in terms of visibility. But they get the job done.
I suppose its all very subjective.

| I got the round ones. They are gorgeous! Just put them on, haven’t had a chance to try them out yet. But they look amazing! It’s hard to get good pics but here are a couple inside the garage. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Haha nice clip! Unfortunately where I ride, not seeing what’s behind me would get me killed in a hurry Just took it for a ride and the mirrors work great! Super clear, and the edge to edge surface gives a large area for a small mirror. And they stay in position but can still be adjusted without tools. These were pricey but totally worth it! Thanks Mark for the informative exploration into mirrors and the excellent recommendation. You suffered through all the cheap ones so I didn’t have to. | |

| I like these a lot. Offer a heavier than stock bar end weight with built in provision for a mirror. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| Egads! Where were you when I was searching the interwebs for adapters? My google-fu has failed me! These would have been perfect. I ended up tapping the bars to use the standard Aprilia screw in adapters, repurposing some cheapy mirror mounts, and butchering carefully modifying some Barkbusters bar weights.
