New to me owner of a 2016 GRiSO here

Hi All,

Thanks for letting me in. Im picking up a 2016 GRiSO tomorrow from here in Portland,OR. I currently own a 2012 VStrom 1000 and ride my wife's 2017 V7 Stone when the spirit moves me. I was perfectly happy with my VStrom until I started riding the V7 Stone. I fell in love with Guzzi's wonderful transverse twin engine. The V7 frame is just feels a little small for me. When I sat on the GRiSO at the dealer yesterday, it seems like an awesome bike. Im doing a quick test ride on it tomorrow prior to closing the deal to ensure no glaring issues (it only has 200 miles on it- with another year of warranty). Looking forward to (hopefully) many miles of GRiSO ownership. Been browsing the forums here, lots of great info. Seems like I've found a cool place to hang out. Thanks again for having me as a part of the group!

Yes, NW PDX- Moto Corsa (The Ducati dealer). They allowed me some good haggling and gave me a fair price I think.

BTW, I like the V7s too but they're a little small for me and the Grisos are just plain cool looking.
My wife can attest to the fact I spend a lot of 'garage time' fondling my tenni.
It's probably a little disturbing to her.

Many people get life ass about face, going for the hi-tech fast etc only to discover that life was meant to be spent a little simpler, and easy going.

The Guzzi intro to your life is familiar and common. Some years ago I met couple on a big Suzuki looking for a suitable ride for the gal. Cruisers were all they looked at for low seat height, I suggested a Breva 750 would be lighter and a nicer ride. Met the lady 12 months later and she had bought one, but never got to ride it, well not until hubby traded his spook for a V11 variant.

Welcome mate, GRiSO is more than a bike it is an experience. Oh and don't fret about not getting one of the 'faster ' black models. The red ones are nice as well.

I was under the impression the green ones were the fastest so to avoid unwanted litigation MG switched to the milder black and reds. I read that on the internet.

100 miles for the first ride? Good for you.
My left hand was aching too much at first (wasn't used to a heavy clutch) so I managed only 35 my first day.
I'm curious what your typical MPG will be. I squeezed 39 out of mine before the weather turned cold.

Yours is the fifth GRiSO in the area that I'm aware of. Two reds, two greenies and a silver.
I'm sure there are more in the local club.
