| I used to drive a 1100 sport-i which due to family/kids/getting older/stiffer got sold a few years ago... as i could not get rid of the "itch" i have for some time been wanting to get back in the saddle, it was either a Guzzi or potentially a Thruxton..... i have kept an eye on the (limited) Swedish market but i am now a proud owner of a black -06 GRiSO with little mileage, as new and fully serviced. Been riding it for two weeks now and cant keep from smiling... it is also a thing of beauty and i find myself sitting and looking at it just for sheer pleasure. Well. I have a Mistral high on order and will likely then update the map or try one of the add-on fueling thingies. One thing with this marque is these lovely forums wher people from all over share experiences, foul language and what-not! Glad to be back! /Ulf | |

| G'day Ulf Welcome to the ghetto from us all down under in Tasmania. I too have 1100, a fast red one, great bikes. Mine now has some 67k on the clock and still pulling like a train. Enjoy your 'new' bike and please stay safe and warm. | |

| Thanks! I do like the 2-valver it´s benign but yet so torqey pull.... one thing is, the sporti had a taller overall gearing so i ran that much faster as the engine did less rpms. The sporti did 150 km/h at 5k, the GRiSO in 6th same revs around 135 km/h. Will save on speeding tickets i hope! | |

| Welcome bak Ulf, you were missed :-)
interesting to note the gearing, my 8v does 145kmh at 5k, i presume the gearing is the same? so maybe just a variance?

| Hi Ulf, welcome to this haphazard group - good people here though.
Get a proper map - please avoid, fuel thingies/addons -they do not work. This includes Power Commanders. See GRiSO.org for a selection, but you will need to get your exhaust first.

| Welcome to the Ghetto, Ulf. I put 50,000 miles on my first GRiSO, a red 2007. Loved it! Now loving my 1200SE. Post pictures when you get a chance.

Of all the CARC models, only the Breva has taller gearing compared with the others. Dunno why, except it was the first to be released.

| Have tried db-killer in vs out, and it stays IN. Way to loud dB out to my ears, it sound more "sophisticated" with dB-killer in in some way.. my arse says a bit better responsiveness.... will keep an eye on plugs etc. be in touch with Beetle... | |
