For past week or so, despite having the "log on automatically" block ticked, I have to reenter username and password to get here.
Unless this is simply a subtle hint that I should self-ban , might anyone know how to unfornicate this?

Hey Bill, nothing has changed on the forum end. My guess is that you've had a recent browser update that changed a browser security setting that you had become used to. I've had similar experiences myself after a Safari update.

Mr Hagan, you need to read the book, the warnings and the licence blurb. In there will be a setting. These days, any browser upgrade will tighten the screws to allow the innocent user to be safer in this perilous world.
Look for "auto logon" type settings somewhere. I don't use Safari, I use Chrome and this has something similar.
