| I've always been vexed as to why the ignition advance has been 4 degrees at idle when looking with GuzziDiag. The main ignition advance table has 4 degrees in the stock 2230G803 map from 2010 and later. The result is a shaky, vibey idle. When I started mapping, I immediately changed it to 11 degrees. Result? No bloody difference! Still had 4 degrees, so sayeth GuzziDiag. Hence the vexation. Then the Idle Ignition table was found (thanks Meinolf!). Look at this poxy thing. 4 degrees of advance at idle? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I fix. My GRiSO purrs like a very big kitten, now. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Yeah, yeah. Shouldn't I let it rattle & shake like a big manly motorcycle should? No. It's only the 8V GRiSO with the 2230G803 map or variants from myself that has this. The 2V and other 8V engines have sensible idle ignition tables. Interestingly, the non-homogolated GRiSO 68S map had a sensible idle advance as well. Thusly, do you want yours fixed as well? Hence the poll. Any member with one of my maps who'd rather have smooth idle, please indicate same. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| My 2012 roller 8v has one of your maps, and I can't say I've even noticed that the idle is lumpy or rough. I do admit that I am one of those who say a smooth engine is one that is most powerful and efficient, so I might prefer to have the map that is more the suave 007 than the brutal one, but I've never even thought about it till you pointed it out. I'm going to have to go ride the GRiSO again now - but of course, any excuse will do! | |

| Mark,
I too like it smooth! If you want to send an update, please send it to Steak. He's got the devices and can upgrade mine sometime when we're together (which is rarer and rarer these days since he moved a half a state away).
Much obliged!

The 2V engine doesn't have the charge transition feature that the 8V does. Even so, 6° is about as low as I'd go, personally. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| While I enjoy the tingling sensation that GRiSO imparts while sitting at the lights, I expect the smoother it is the less bits that will shake of. If it is done happy to grab one. | |

| The XDF is not available yet. If you want to try yourself, the table is at offset 0x48D9E.
I will be updating maps after testing.

| Smooth Idle sounds good to me.
I'm headed out for a little road trip week after next. So no big hurry on my end.
Thanks for the continued work refining an already good offering.

| Hi Beetle, smooth sounds good to me. I'm in when its ready. Ended up with your Mistral Hi dbk in and purchased said pipe to suit the map. Couldn't sort the round town manners with the QuatD. The bike is a joy to ride now. Thanx for your efforts mate. | |

| Great thread - inspired me to work out how to frig around with TunerPro....Just checking before I take the next leap .....I can just save my modified XDF with a new name; adjust the offsets in my map to match yours & save with new name; update the map with the writer and test the effect ??? Either way it was a great tutorial in how to play in TunerPro [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Those numbers are for my 1400. I'd try a bit less advance at first. This is what I sent LBC Tenni to test: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Otherwise, yes is the answer. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| I like watching the faces of Hardly Drivables next to you at the lights, the off-beat cacophony that is the song of the mighty rotary V twin torquing side to side shake confusing their tiny frontal lobes and their rubber mounted fore and aft vibrations. speaking of vibrating twins...
