| There are others here that will tell you it is not a good idea for various reasons. From a purely practical point of view the lid lid retains the air filter and air temperature sensor in place so that would if nothing else need addressing. | |

| So, back, if I may, to the OP's original point, i.e., security. Theft must be a much bigger problem in Europe, particularly, than here. By "here," I mean the U.S.A. Yes, I know that there are dicey areas everywhere, but the theft-to-Guzzi ratio must be in the statistically insignificant range. Statistics don't matter if you are one , but balancing the various PITA aspects of a lock v. probability of theft, I'll use the snorkelectomy saved space for a flask or food I don't want Kathi to know I eat. | Does removing the snorkle increase or decrease back pressure? | |

High blood pressure is not good, don't ask how I know... Correct terminology, as I have stated before, is impedance. | |

| So, I've just removed the "Aprilia" snorkel. Should I try and find a MG one? Or, leave it off | |

| This is very useful Information as I too have been pondering how to carry my disc lock. The fact that it has a benefit as well is just gravy. | |
