I got an Agostini Hydroformed low pipe. It works really well with the Hepco and Becker bags. I have a Beetle map for it and it runs beautifully.

Happy ending to SuperTrapp experiment - Just sold it for a $30 profit.

Now to make up my mind - just keep the stock pipe or go with an proper aftermarket number? Since I'm not looking for top end and our not so friendly troopers in NY/NJ like to fine people for any pipe that doesn't have the manufacture's name on it I'm very inclined to just keep it stock.

Since the PO painted the headers maybe I'll follow suit and give it a satin black treatment. Anyone seen a stock muffler painted black?

Here you go-

IMO it makes the muffler look even larger than it looks in standard aluminum finish.

Thanks for finding/sharing the photo. I see what you mean. Usually black is slimming (at least that's what my wife says). Guess hips and mufflers aren't the same...

They just look better with a less invasive can. GRiSO's are a piece of art to look at and I feel the stock can is just a little oversized and distracts from the bikes inate beauty.

Decided to just keep the stock muffler on for a while. Just loaded Mark's map for the stock 8V muffler (after doing the set up work) and the bike runs beautifully!

I would give Beetle a big hug if he weren't so bristly I love you
