| Hello Little worried, as I just got my dream bike, an 07 GRiSO with 5200 miles delivered to me today from Florida. Out riding it, coming to stop lights and it won't idle. Erratically it will, and when it does it seems low around 750-900 or so. What should i look at? Bit difficult to ride this way. | |

| Throttle body balance, gummed up stepper motor, reset TPS. Do one at a time, then see if that changes things.
Congrats on the bike | |

| Welcome to the Ghetto. First, check your throttle stop screw hasn't been fiddled with. If not, check your throttle body balance and TPS. It may be a air leak in the idle stepper or bad stepper itself. The throttle stop screw should have a blob of yellow paint to stop it moving, and to make harry home-tune think twice about adjusting it. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Throttle body balance and tps eh.....Crap. I am fairly technical, but I don't have the equipment for that and the nearest dealer i trust is 4 hrs away. | |

| You will need the cables from Lonelec, get a cheap laptop to run GuzziDiag et al. Get a carbTune. You will need these on more than one occasion, and as you say, are 4 hours from a dealer, it's time to take matters into your own hands, wear some grease and turn out like most of the rest of us - dirty, grungy, home mechanics.
With these basic diagnostic tools, you will become a "guru" | |

| You should familiarise yourself with GuzziDiag and get cables for same. Acquire a balance tool and you've just now eliminated any need for a dealer. They are simple beasts to tune.
Another thing to check is whether one or both air bleeds are open on the throttle bodies. Only one need be open.

| They supply cables for GuzziDiag that are guaranteed to work. You can also get them on Amazon and eBay. | I just replied to your post on WG so have a squid at that but as the blokes here are saying you'll need Guzzidiag and some form of manometer. How easy it will be to fix really depends on whether or not the 'Sacred Screw' has been arsed about with. There are good threads bothe here and on WG about the use and set-up of Guzzidiag and where to buy Cables including links to the Lonelec site and what to order.
First thing though is to ascertain if its sacred screw has been buggered about with and if the answer is 'No' then first step will be a full tune up and that will require a manometer and Guzzidiag. As I said on WG and often say here there is no easier bike to tune than a W5AM Guzzi. Unfortunately its also quite possible to seriously screw shit up on them too if you don't know what you're doing!
