Well, because nobody seems to be able to crash a GRiSO without buggering the lower fork yoke I've decided, for several reasons, to abandon the Ohlin's conversion.
Why? Well two main reasons. Firstly I think they would be wasted on me as my increasingly buggered body means I simply can't push as hard as I used to and secondly with the Matris inserts I've been able to get these....
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Re-engineered with the ones from Mark 'S's wreck which I bought.
The tubage is Sachs off an RSV-4 with custom valving in the inserts and a small amount of machining work to the rebound adjusters. They should slip straight in.
If anyone wants to pursue the Ohlins option I have the freshly rebuilt set I bought plus shims so they will slot in to the upper you're but you'll need to have your lower yoke bored or get one built to fit them.
