| Er, um, soooo I have this 'friend', and this 'friend' of mine may have overtightened his gear box drain plug last time around (mmm no emoticon for dumb-ass clown), and this time during removal, a fair amount of aluminium shard came out in the plug threads. He 'says' that he cleaned all the shard off and replaced the plug and refilled the gearbox in the vain hope that it would seal.... he 'tells' me that the plug didn't snug up, and that gear oil is now dripping onto his garage floor... Apart from cleaning up the mess on the floor, any (easy) fix suggestions for my stoopid 'friend'... signed, dumb-ass clown edit.... just been looking at Time-sert thread inserts..... opinions?? (look do-able, providing beverages are kept at minimum | |

| The exact same thing happened to me...err...to one of my friends on a 1200 Sport. Helicoil insert fixed it right up, no problems.
