| Man, that really stinks Mark heal up! We know you'll get the scoot back in top form, but the body takes time to heal. Glad it wasn't worse. | |

| Tough luck with the spill Beetle, no major damage to the body I hope (the worst ones are when your tits hurt) Hope it doesn't cost too much to get the machinery all shiny again, Glad to see it didn't affect your appetite too bad | |

| Thanks chaps. I'm all good. I've started the repairs to the GRiSO, which is going to include additional geegaws. It might be parked for a good while, however.

Unsightly, heavy crash-bars would have alleviated this problem!

| Crash-bars are only a savings in the low speed department. If you hit hard enough to smash the timing chest, chances are you won't feel like riding it home anyhow! | |

| [quote="beetle"]Wouldn't have saved the brake lever, bracket or mirror. [/quote Sadly, No. I was just busting you, I know you would never consider this gee-gaw. I hope you are back up to speed in short order! I put the dreaded bars on my GRiSO after a small get off that included spewing oil on the ride home. | |

Really, not so. You'd be surprised at how little leverage it takes to smash a timing chest mount. GRiSO's are actually pretty strong and crash well. You can write a V11 Spineframe off by having it roll off its sidestand! I kid you not! Pete

| My dearly departed dad was a meteorologist and environmental scientist. He would have loved this. Around here we are sometimes treated with another cloud phenomenon that is pretty spectacular too. | For a change of road surface, try out the top end of the Omeo Hwy - from Mitta Mitta to Omeo. May be better on the V7R. Not too far from you, either.
For that dangly bit - Powerlet has a decent range of product. If nothing else, some ideas there.
Soldier on, my son. And have another tot.

The engine however came through relatively well! I carry collision on my bikes and hope I don't need it!
