GRiSO color code

Hi guys,
I am looking for the color codes for my 1200 8V SE red trophy.
Has anybody informations about the codes for the red matte and black matte?

It seems that this information is one of the trade secrets of Moto Guzzi.

Hi Ralf, Good luck with this, I would like to know the codes as well. About a year ago I resprayed the 09 GRiSO. It was gloss black, sanded with 1200 wet and dry paper, masked in the style of the 14, 15 year models and sprayed the stripes in a Mazda bright metallic green, then coated in a Matt 2 pak clear. I would think a good car repair shop should be able to get a close match to the red, then use a matt clear coat on top

I expressed myself not correctly.

I received color color codes (Palini code) from my collegues from R&D at Piaggio and color codes from the dealer, where I bought my bike in Germany (he told me, that he got the codes from Piaggio too).

First of all I don't know, which one is the right one (I trust more to the code I received directly from Piaggio)
Second no color shop which I contacted up to now is able to work with this codes.

Is there any paint specialist within ghetto, which could help me?

If not, my local paint store here in the US has a way to work with Piaggio codes.
He got me a perfect match for a Vespa that I had to paint for a customer but it was a convetional base coat/clear coat.
I believe that our low gloss paint on our SE Grisos are single stage paint, not clear coated with dull clear but I could be wrong...
He uses Autoart brand and I believe it's European made.
You should be able to find a paint manufacturer that has Piaggio's data color codes.

Whar are the codes anyway, I'm curious...

My GRiSO is a MY15 1200 8V Red Trophy.

The codes, I received from the German dealer are:

YR2 for trophy red
YN1 for black devil.

As mentioned, I received other codes directlx from R&D collegues (which I trust more):

Black: Nero competition paint code PALINI 928.D669 with transparent finish 20 gloss
Red: ROSSO IBIS paint code PALINI 928.F239 with transparent finish 20 gloss

If anyone knows a dealer who is able to mix this colors, pls inform me about.

The YR2 and YN1 is what I need.
I will check on Monday for you and see if my guy has that in his data with Autoart
If it's the case, I'm sure that Glasurit (German brand paint) have those in Europe as well.
Also check with Sikkens, Spies Hecker...both German brands and find automotive paint stores in your area so you can show them these paint codes...

anything new from your your color dealer?
I envy you for living in Orlando instead of Austria.

After weeks with minus 20 C we got ice-rain today. Not the best condition for biking.
In the past, I have been a couple of times in Palm Bay, where we have a test center for our boats.
Nice area there, including the alligators and snakes!

He took the last week off but he'll be back this Monday. Sorry about that...
As for my area, it's nice weather wise but flat and straight so not the best for motorcycling.
Unless you want to indulge in cruiser boring bikes and parade around among morons with no skills. lol
I miss my South of France for two wheel fun...

Well, those color codes didn't check out...
I'm gonna try with the 928 F239/D669 and we'll see.

Guys,
Keep you informed about the out-coming from "RH Lacke in" Germany.
My Guzzi dealer in Austria has in parallel contacted a painter in Mandello, who is supposed to work for Guzzi, in order to get access to the colors there. (already 1 month ago).

But that's typical for Europe: the more south the more relaxed and vice versa!

I mean, it's a sort of madness how Guzzi understands customer service!
Wouldn't there be the GRiSO, which I really love, I would kick them into their Italian ass!

Does anybody know the colour code/manufacturer of the satin-finished black motor paint?

I have asked at Stein-Dinse if the paint they sell (Art.No.: 1203F041A ) is the original for all Guzzis approx. built since 2004:

They could not confirm that this paint is the right one ...poor.

Just been looking at a Spanish web site of all places. They say the paint comes from a company called Lechler. They themselves only had paint codes to 2007.
This is some info they had posted their of a supplier of this paint brand.
