| I don't think my GRiSO likes water. In cleaning some plastic off my headers, I rinsed down the entire engine area. I used the leaf blower to give it a good blow dry and then wiped it down before putting it up as it was too late for a ride. This evening I took it out and it was acting up fierce especially in the closed loop area. It started to clear up towards the end of the short ride and I was able to ride around in second gear under 3k for a loop around the neighborhood. Could it be that water is intruding into the head/spark plug somewhere? The dealer noticed corrosion in the LH and the bike sits leaned towards the side stand all the time.
I'm going to do a valve check hopefully this weekend and will look around but wondering if this is a problem. If not the LH head where else to look?

| MG state quite categorically that water should be dripped (?) from above and no pressure equipment should be used. In using a blower, some water may have been lodged where maybe it wouldn't normally. Sounds like it is on the improve which is good.
Note to self: ride more, clean less. Incidentally, I remove my headers to clean them if they have melted matter on them - gives a better clean and you can get at all the difficult areas.

| I don't own a GRiSO so this is a long shot.
Most motorcycle engines with a centrally located spark plug and rubber boot to prevent water ingress, also have a small 1/8" drain hole from the base of the plug tunnel, that exits between the fins some where.
In my world, we have a tiny mud wasp that loves to lay eggs and build a nest in said hole. Water gets in, bike runs like crap. Clean hole, spay WD40 up it, shit comes out, bike runs sweet again. |

| It does have a hole that you can use to pry the spark boot up with. I hadn't thought of that. I wonder if it sitting on the side stand makes it the angle where it doesn't drain on the left side? | |

| Using the leaf blower blew water where it should and would not go. Next time go for a ride or at least start the motor and let run/heat the motor and cook off any excess moisture. | |

| Normally if the plug caps are damaged they will arc out dry or wet but wet certainly won't help if they're damaged. Take the covers off the HT leads and look and listen when the engine is running for the spark *Snapping* to earth.

| I've used a pressure washer on mine. In fact, after the Flinders run, I took mine to car wash and used various low and high pressure thingies. I even used the (gasp) foaming brush! --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| The best mine ever gets is a whack with the steam cleaner at work. I avoid the wheel bearings and suspension/swingarm linkages of course and the badges on the HT lead covers are prone to washing off but apart from that nothing ever goes wrong and the cleaner is fierce enough to remove paint if you're over zealous!

| Thanks. I will take the covers off and listen out for an arc before I check the valve clearances. I don't use pressure but I've been using the leaf blower with the EV for years and without worries. Last time I will use it on the GRiSO though.
Probably will go ahead and replace the plug caps anyway since they are noted as problematic around here. Check the valves then load Mark's map. Golden.
