| So the easy job of a quick oil change.....yeah right.
Quick warm up to get the oil runny. done. Sump plug removed, oil falls out, done. Turn oil filer by hand, nope, 3 prong clamp oill filter wrench nope not gripping enough..... Yay I get to drop the sump,14 hex bolts later the sump didnt move ? what did I miss...quick look at workshop diagrams, oh 4 more hex bolts around the oil filter, done sump gets gently lowered to the ground with about 200 ml of oil still in it...lets try the filter again with a belt style filter tool, nope thats now a twisted wreck on the floor .....punch a big philips head screwdriver through the filter, firm pull, filter moves , remove filter, clean out sump while it is off. replace sump and 18 hex bolts...install new filter, fill with Penrite 5w60. start, warm up a bit, fill some more, put bike away...had planned to do brakes as well ran out of time that's next weekend maybe..
cya Scot. Also replaced the front end on my wifes mountain bike but that's not GRiSO related..

| yeah, but not something that repco stocks(unless i buy the $300 fit every filter kit)...I hate letting something sit while I wait for the right tool. Found a new Guzzi dealer near Sydney, well near Wollongong....Albion park, also stock Yamaha and Aprilia ...its where I picked up the oil filter, but also t'd up a ride on a Tuono V4 and R1 next time I can get down there, hoping they let me take them up Macquarie pass... | If you're using the UFI filter supplied by the factory with 8 flutes you need a 76mm AF, 8 flute cup wrench. Most 'Wottalotactrap Auto' type places have them or I can pick you one up for <$30. Same story if you're using an AM filter with 14 flutes.
If you're in the 'Gong why not just ride up and see me? Tell me you're coming and I'll pick a wrench up that morning.

Pete Thanks Pete, I'm at Sutherland but yep still a nice ride to get down and see you. This is just a keep things nice until I can find some time to get the bike to Bungendore for a roller conversion, looks like you still have a few in the works..

| Ebay $18, after I found a leak from the filter when i got home yesterday, another 1/4 turn by hand seems to have fixed it but just in case I may as well have the right tool ..ok they are selling it as a ducati tool but close enough..
