hi guys, i thought i would go for a ride on the GRiSO today (1200 8 valve), i haven't ridden it for about two months ! it ran very bad, i checked plugs for spark, which seemed ok, put it on diag. and showing fault codes P0201, P0202, and P0170, this appears to be a fuel fault ! it was perfect when stored in garage ! can anyone advise what might be wrong, thanks in anticipation, john.

The fuel line inside the tank? Open gas cap and listen while you put on the ignition

Those are OBD fault codes.

Have a look at the following link -

There is some information on fault finding, but it's not something I'm familiar with, hopefully someone else on the forum will provide a better answer?

I think if the fuel line inside the tank had come adrift from the fuel pump, it would not run at all?

Shit petrol? try some seafoam or such and try to run her enough to get fresh gas in her bowels. The piss they sell now degrades sooner and even though a couple months isn't real long it could still be the culprit. Not that an electrical issue couldn't develop, but seems less likely.

I'd ignore the 170 for now. The 201/202 injector codes are what's likely the problem. Check that you have 10-12V across the injectors. The ECU pulls the negative to ground to fire the injector. Check your battery ground, ECU ground and injector wiring. You can use GuzziDiag to test the injectors.

hi mark, just letting you know i checked voltage at injector plugs, but was only getting 1.9 volts on both, however, i cleaned earths, and battery connections, and to my surprise, it seems to start and run great ! i don't know if disconnecting battery may have reset something, or if it was an earth fault, i am grateful for your advice, as always, spot on !! incidentally, i rechecked voltage at injector plugs again, and was still showing 1.9 volts !! thanks again, kind regards, john.

The 1.9V is due to the injector ground 'floating'. That is, because the ECU switches the injector negative to ground, you'll need to check the injector 'positive' with respect to the battery negative terminal.

Sorry, I should have explained that better.

The +12v is only there when injection relais is actuated, and that's not when engine is quiet. Same as ignition coils +12v
