What do you think of the idea of not to shim the inlet valves when doing rollerisation on the early 8V engines.
Is the adding of the 0,5mm shim worth the extra costs. Especially on bikes that have allready been driven 40-70tkm and the valve gear parts (seats etc) are already worn and probably out of the factory specification anyway. This would make the repair a lot cheaper for the customer.(parts/labour)

Why, for the cost of the shims, would you not do it? The extra time and expense is minimal, the effects of floating a valve at higher RPM could be catastrophic"
