| Hello GRiSO Owners, Paul (aka "il Postino") here from the San Francisco Bay Area. I purchased my 2014 GRiSO 8V SE last April, so I apologize that it has taken me this long to find this site and register. I previously was riding a Yamaha RZ two-stroke and before that, a Honda VFR, so the GRiSO is a complete departure for me. I test rode a 2015 GRiSO at a dealership and felt at home on it within the first few miles/km. After the frenetic pace of the Yamaha, the Guzzi was relaxed, and I just didn't want to stop riding it. In the time I've owned her (him?), I've added some H-B crash bars and a Dart flyscreen, which is just about perfect for taking the edge off any wind-blast. I've been reading up on the various posts and am intrigued by the re-mapping threads. True, the low RPM transitions are a tad rough, but that is what clutch slip is for... it's definitely smoother up top. Anyway, I hope all of you are out riding, and I plan to keep this motorcycle, which is my first NEW bike, ever purchased. Ciao, Paul | |

Welcome, Paul. If you've been lurking in the Ghetto for any amount of time you've no doubt encountered a lot of ruminating on this subject. There seem to be some among us who are unsure of their sexual preferences or personal identity, but we make no judgement here - all are welcome. | Thank you Street. I come from a nautical background, so US vessels were always "she," while Russian ships are "he."
As for the Guzzi, I know it is supposed to be a manly bike (and it its), but those big cylinder heads sticking out on both sides make me think 38 Triple D every time! | |

| Welcome Paul! Great to have you join the Ghetto. A forum as eclectic and unusual as the mighty GRiSO itself! | |

| Enjoy the bike Paul Your right I think, A GRiSO is a Relaxed kind of bike to ride, others seem to encourage you to Open the Tap too much. Don't be riding that clutch too much, a new map Will help smooth out the low end jerkiness . I'd almost forgotten how mine was, it nearly spat me off on a roundabout once, it felt like it was shutting the ignition off, then on again at a steady low throttle setting, ( it's in the fueling ) but one of Beetles maps cured it Read up on the how too's, it really is a simple process. You can feel safe knowing you have a copy of the original map when you start out, but once you've tried it, I doubt you'll ever want to reload the old map. Have fun, Be safe.... | |
