Exhaust without O2 Sensor Empty
PostSubject: Exhaust without O2 Sensor   Exhaust without O2 Sensor Icon_minitime1Tue 07 Jul 2015, 09:19

So I'm installing an exhaust on my G1100 without an O2 sensor.

Ummm.... What can happen? I have the tune for a stock G11 somewhere that I need to load in, but with no O2 is there any other adjustments I need to consider in the tune?

Without the O2 sensor connected/installed it will throw a spazz. If the pipe you are fitting is radically different the stock 1100 map may or may not be able to trim around it if the O2 sensor is installed. If you are using an aftermarket map it will have to of been built for the pipe arrangement.

Yeah, you'll need to disable the lambda in the map of your installing a stock map. You'll get a SERVICE warning without an O2 sensor. Also you should reset your trims.

Thanks guys!

Is disabling the lambda as easy as it sounds?

Yep. A few clicks with a mouse. Of course, you need the GuzziDiag software and cables to download and then reflash the map. Also the TunerPro software to edit the map. Easy!

Turns out I'm more of an idiot than I thought.

I had to remove the O2 sensor to swap it to a new Y pipe. Not bin it.

So new Y pipe and can are on. A quite a bit of popping on deceleration, but I don't think I re-seated the headers all the way. Need to loosen everything up and work headers back. Which, as being an idiot, I did not do.
