| Seems I got a little bit silly and can do jack shit in the search tab. Anyway, if this question has been asked before I apologise in advance - CRAFT is biting pretty bad tonight, but How do you convert CSV log files in logworks format? anyone know , Mr Beetle? | |

| I have no idea what you are talking about Tony. But I'm sure it's got something to do with making your bike go better. | |

| There's some software floating around that will do it, but I just open the CSV file in a spreadsheet program and replace the header with one from a DIF file. The DIF file headers for AFR and lambda are different.
If you're using a CSV from Scan M5x v1.21 you'll need to remove all the extra data columns (lambda 2, AFR 1 & 2 etc) because they are not compatible with Logworks3. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| Tony and Mark are communicating in some sort of technical dialog. Roper replies in Italian. The only one making any sense here is Ralf. | |

| why would you want that, You have something else that logs? I worked with Christian to get his program write direct in the dif format. For that I've been looking some time in different logfiles.
Easy is to use a logworks file, and look at the bottom part and make your file the same and glue it toghether

ScanM5X v 1.21. It logs in CSV, but you can hit the menu button (left key on Samsung) an there you will find merge and convert options for making DIF. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> BTW I am having trouble displaying some of the values correctly when logging. Dash will not display afr, and ecu speed is quite optimistic. Log output is fine.

| Yeah, I just had a look. I haven't personally used v1.21 yet. I sent an email to Christian about a CSV that tocino sent me. The TPS values ranged from 45 - 327, so I asked Christian about it. I got this from him: - Quote :
AFRO21 is O2 sensor 0 to 5Volt
If you want to see in LogWorks 3, you must change the Range mini from 7 to 0 and max 23 to 5
Perharps your 5M is 0 to 1V.

So the current version is OK to use for logging runs? I am a little unclear as to whether I need to set the min / max before logging or if that is a setting used during export only.

| I'm still not convinced. I ran some conversions using the app with the last CSV you sent and the result still wasn't compatible with Logworks. The default TPS range is 0 - 90, which is OK and should have produced data only in that range, but we still got a range of 45 - 327. I still think there's bugs, but you may have to go in and set the ranges before you log. Please do so if you can, otherwise I will need to do some testing myself. Christian sent me a DIF file, but it wasn't compatible with Logworks either. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| So Paul, will Christian be putting back the default .dif format? Converting from CSV to DIF doesn't really do it for me, I would rather straight DIF files. | |

Easy is to use a logworks file, and look at the bottom part and make your file the same and glue it toghether Paul, you should contact Christian and find out. With the new format he is using, the DIF files generated are not logworks compatible require you to rebuild your templates. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| There's an update (v1.22). He's added the 'settings' button the the main menu, plus the CSV to DIF button. Anyhoo, seems I went off half cocked. The DIF files aren't compatible with my current templates, so I'll have to rebuild them to suit. The test I did today had good TPS data so I've no idea what happened with Steves latest run. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |
