Two weeks ago installed map generously developed by Beetle-san. Fuel consumption went from 200/215 kms. before reserve lights up to 240/260. Excellent, happy days. Last Sunday's ride to the Ontario Guzzi brunch, with my wife on the back, Tenni still managed 252kms before reserve. Bloody fantastic. Now definitely ready for this summer' 15 capitals/15 States ride.

Omnis, do you have the stock exhaust on your tenni? I have the same model and year bike and I am lucky if I can get 170kms before the reserve lights up.
Have you noticed a difference in how the bike fuels / performs? From all I have heard you should feel some improvement.

Yes I do, factory standard, didn't change a thing except minor add-ons (handlebar guard, spot lights) because I think it is beautiful the way mother made it. I too used to get atrocious consumption, barely 200+/-. Synched the carbs, install Beetle map, reset TPS, fiddled with CO and boom, smoother ride at 4000rpm, much improved consumption, happiness.

I'm a flat-lander, but routinely enjoy 175 mi/280 km to the low fuel lamp. My air pump lump is stock GR8-whatnot mapped with an unbaffled Termi. This bizzare behavior has been going on for five years now. So are these factory maps just plain screwed up and I'm the lucky exception with a few randomized 1's and 0s in the right sequence?

So that makes about less than 5l/100km? I definitely need to get mine mapped. After the Italian adventure...
Well, your fuel consumption gives me some hope for my GRiSO and it's good to hear that your bike has improved with Beetle's map! Enjoy that trip. Sounds great!
Fuel mileage?? Who gives a shit about fuel mileage? I bought mine because it gave me a bonafide fucking hammer the first time I test rode it.... Still does... I have one right now... Fuel mileage be damned!
Harry were you at Allwest Insurance on the west side of Burrard near 2nd and 3rd ave. last Friday? Saw a Black Devil parked in their lot. I drove up to see if I could meet the owner but not to be found. As you are out in Surrey I am thinking it was probably not you, however, given how few Grisos there are on the road, well...?
Money being a bit tighter these days, the better mileage I get, the longer the ride. The longer the ride, the better my day gets...
Serious, I ride about 25000km a year, mainly commuting. And then mileage does matter in my opinion. And during the rideouts and trips I would be glad not always being the one they need to search gas stations for
The thing is if it's using more fuel than it needs to its not running optimally. Improving its efficiency doesn't need to be about saving money or the environment, (Although I'm happy to try to do both!) it's about making the bike run better.

Not me. I try to avoid riding in city traffic. I find city riding a waste of time, energy, and nerve endings. Plus I'd end up looking like a left handed tennis player with all the clutch action going on. If I had to go down town, I'd ride my truck. Also, my bike is not black (like my wife for example). Not that there's anything wrong with black bikes of course....
