Yesterday I changed to the silent block, did my first run today. The difference is absolutely remarkable. But it was not easy to get the old stuff out. I tried it with a vice and a 32' nut. First the inner stuff came out. The I used a Dremel to cut some slots into the ring. Finally it lost, because i found a perfect fitting piece of metall with 22 diameter to press the outer ring out. After cleaning the bearing seat with abrasive paper I mounted the new silent block, first with a hammer, the using the vice again. Took a while, but it was worth it.

And hey, I got one silent block left. If someone needs it, I would ship it. Just send me a PM.

My recently acquired 2011 Stelvio makes the same clunk so guess even the "silent block" is no longer silent when worn (the bike has done 64000 miles in just four years in the hands of the previous owner).

Well, if anybody needs a silent silent block, contact me. You only have to pay the shipping. Ain't that fair?

Thanks for this post, good info.
Have a good day.

This sounds quite like what I have been hearing / feeling with my bike as well since late in the last season. Definitely a secondary clunk after low speed shifting on and off throttle. I will have to check out the reaction rod. I thought it might be related to the clutch or gearbox.

Will contact my dealer just the same and run it by him.
