Bent Reaction Arm

Is this a known problem or has someone done something stupid ?

I'm intending to remove, straighten and repaint unless anyone thinks it's an issue, there are a few on ebay

Ouch! I would replace it - looks like "some" abuse at some point (possibly a hole in the road - and a big one at that). Look at the front mounting hole too - it might be elongated which will require some extra attention. You can also get the later model bush from a Stelvio to replace the one at the front of the reaction arm.

It migh have been hit in an accident and reinstalled up side down - dunno, but it's not good like that.

They don't cost much, even w/bushings in ends. At least in USA. $75
