- Well I am taking the plunge, I have spoken to Peter Roper (thx for the time Pete) who has set up this particular bike and have agreed on a price. Just have to get down to pick it up then annoy Peter about the pipe. It has a high rise Mistral which appears to be the dogs bollox, but I am not a fan of the modern look. I want to investigate the ups and downs of a low metal Termi type can.
Cheers to all and happy Christmas, Santa has been very good to me this year. Well this is easy. The bike in question belongs to David. He dropped round today and said you were interested although I didn't know it was you. If you buy the bike though come over when you pick it up, (I'm closed until the beginning of January though.) and I'll happily swap pipes and maps until you are happy. I have the Termi off my bike. You will , once again assumption, probably be getting the original muffler with the bike and David's bike has the Termi both with and without dB killer. You can try the lot, with maps to suit. See which you prefer. Pete

| This will be fun, after owning Dukes for so long I am actually looking forward to riding a bike that I don't require a chiropractor after each ride. Fascinating read on the exhaust thread which will make my decisions more difficult. 4 more sleeps as I can't get down to pick her up until the new year . but then I have two weeks off work to play as much as I like, I may be annoying Pete a bit after that I hope he likes Beer | |

| I have to say, you folks are a friendly lot, not the usual precious lot in Ducati circles. I was into Dukes before they became fashionable for every city professional to have too parade to the local cafe. I have seen them become , well a fashion accessory.
I saw an 1100 coppa d'Or or something like that the other day. It was red and it had a sweet looking seat, the bike reminded me of the big bore bikes I grew up with years gone by, wow I can not believe how excited I am.
Bloody Santa is taking his time though,

| If you want to take a day ride up to Bungendore I can easily give your bike a quick look over. Where are you buying it from? Gimme a call first because I may have to go to Wagga at some point and I'm not always around but if I know you're coming I will make sure I'm there. The one 'Big' job I have on in January so far is a Stelvio rebuild. It was completely fucked by an O2 sensor signal modifying device. Having a look at the carnage might be interesting for you!

| When you drop up you can make the choice.
I have a Termi we can fit. Dave's bike has a Hi-Pipe with no dB killer in but he has the killer. Swapping the pipes around is a fifteen minute job and I can map the bike up for all three options. Mistral without dBk, with dBk, and Termi with dBk. Take your choice after a test ride.

| I have now had my bike for two weeks and have made a very important discovery. I have found that I can go out enjoy a ride and get off after every ride with a smile on my face. I have rediscovered the pure enjoyment of just riding. This GRiSO is a fine beast, comfortable a good looker and can hustle when the mood takes me. A good mate of mine has been telling me for years to get back on to a road bike rather than racers with lights. I am still to work out the finer qualities of riding smoothly (especially gear changes at low speed) but all in all the bike is a gem (thx Pete). Santa was bloody kind this year! But there is a problem I have a guilty confession to make, after 30 odd years on Ducatis I still feel like I am being unfaithful whenever I think about the GRiSO, but hey, it has been a long, long time since I have had a smile as big as the one I now carry. My BMW riding mate tried hard to get me to buy a R nine T and was disappointed with my decision. The other day he saw the GRiSO in the flesh, said nothing for a couple of minutes turned to me smiled and said I am glad you ignored my advice! So happy | |

| Hey CD, to eradicate that embarrassing clunky gear change you may need a 'silent block' bush fitted to the forward end of the CARC torque arm. I got mine from Pete Roper. Glad you like your new toy. I had good close-up look at an R NineT this week, and there really is no comparison. | |
