| Never owned a MotoGuzzi and admit to having never ridden one, I now must absolutely try to find a demo ride here in the Bay Area Ca. I am definitely interested in any or you member's experiences with Moto Guzzi and in particular anybody with ofcourse the GRiSO. I am pretty much a sport touring kind of guy, been riding my entire adult life and am 53 years old. I'm not getting rid of my Yamaha FZ-1 but I do definitely want to learn more about owning and riding this model. Thanks in advance to any replies and i'll be lurking. Looking at a brand new 2015 one btw. I hear that once you ride one you will know whether or not you will want one. | |

| Welcome the the ghetto hophead. Just hunker down, dig in, and start reading some threads. I think you'll find many answers to most of the questions you have.
Not sure of the current dealer status in the SF bay area. Munroe Motors in the SF Mission District is active and can probably square you away with a test ride. There used to be another dealer (MG/BMW) up in Marin County, but I think they've been gone for a couple few years.
It's true, the GRiSO doesn't speak to just anyone, you'll know right away if you're one of those who listens... Do not argue with the GRiSO, he resents being made into something he is not... --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special

| Ok, so it depends upon your bike history as to how you will find a Guzzi. It will talk to you and will hav the most character from an engine you will ever ride and make your FZ-1 seem souless. If it doesn't then hey its not for you. I fell in love with them before riding one and then riding one just confirmed i love them! Take it for a longer ride than a quick ride around the block. | |

| Thankyou steak and sidrat, going to call the dealer tomorrow where I saw it nearby, never been even to their shop but is kind of hidden if you don't know where it is. Very exotic inventory, no wonder I've never ridden a Guzzi, they are very rare! Will read up also, great site btw! | |

| You can try going to Moto Italiano in San Jose. If Jason is there tell him "DungeonMaster sent ya" I worked for him in 2000 Tell him I have a GRiSO and I sent you to go get one. Jason was one of the guys that gave me the nickname "DungeonMaster".

That was certainly my experience. The GRiSO really caught my eye as a result of the rave reviews of some folks that frequent this and another forum. Once I took it out for a test ride the GRiSO became a working part of my mind. It is so fun, so interesting and so unlike any other bike that I'm aware of. I cannot stop thinking about how much I love my GRiSO. Go get you one.

| Welcome to the ghetto. I had an FZ-1, Dale Walker Hole shot, etc. and although I enjoyed it very much, with scads of power and stability at rediculously unlawfull speeds, in the end I found it "too perfect" and I longed for a more charismatic, soulfull motor. Went through a Thruxton and a Monster and a Harley FXLR, that I still have. The GRiSO is a unique beast and feels close to perfect. Just go ride one and perhaps you'll agree. | |

| Had never ridden one before deciding to buy mine. Purchased it based on looks and couldn't be happier other than I wish our riding season was year round.
Had a few issues with my 2012 model which the newer Grisos shouldn't have.
It never fails to put a huge smile on my face - EVER!
I have said to myself many times while riding it, damn have I bought myself the right bike!!!
As Laker says, "Go get you one" and maybe you too will enjoy it as much as we do.

| Welcome! I too am Grisoless. I presently own a Harley, that's not a bad thing either. Plan on a GRiSO purchase soon. | |
