| Well I just couldn't stomach the exhaust on my GRiSO anymore. They had the sickly look of an old alcoholic in a detox center so I finally took the plunge and got them ceramic coated by Krystal at Ricochet Customs [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] When I pulled the pipes off I saw there were no header gaskets installed, hmmm...strange. Pete was kind enough to send me some gaskets all the way from Australia but they are still held up in the mail and I just couldn't wait so I put these babies on over the weekend and went for a heck of a ride. The gaskets will go on when they show up but for now it's running fine without 'em. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" />" />" /> | |

| I think they look much better now. Ceramic is supposed to keep heat in as well. Is that a good thing? I've heard conflicting reports on it's virtues. | |

I'm really enjoying the Ghetto. There seems to be an elevated sense of community amongst GRiSO riders and this forum in particular.

| That does look sharp - looks an exact match for the frame color. | |

| Are you confident that it's gonna age well? If it stays like that you're golden. | |

If it stays like that you're golden. Still haven't figured out how to use the multi-quote function... No, Grisonut, I have absolutely no idea if it'll age well or not

| The reason I'm asking is because I had this done to my shorty headers on my 70 Cougar. They have rust spots on them now. | |

They have rust spots on them now. Argh, that stinks. I never really thought to ask about how they age. Tact, common sense and thinking ahead have never been my specialties. The gal who owns Ricochet Customs is pretty sharp and does a lot of this work for the local Ferrari dealership so I just assume it'll be fine. But again, if it doesn't I'll address it then. You should check out the pics on her website, in addition to her talent she's quite a looker.

| Laker, your GRiSO gives me a chubby. You should powder coat the valve covers. Oh baby! --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

They're next, actually Since the PO dropped the bike on both sides I replaced the covers and I'm going to have Krystal coat the old ones along with a few other bits just for something different.

I think they look fantastic, especially with the dark Agostini pipe. I'll wait keenly (with a few others I suspect) to see how they age as well. Cheers Taz

| It looks really fantastic --congrats! The stock finish is fine during a couple of months only.
Thinking about paint mine's headers, but no ceramic coat by here. Another option will be heat wrap. Would it be a good idea? Having in mind the extra-heat they will have to deal with.

| Thanks a bunch folks, I'm real happy with the way they turned out Damoru I'm not sure about the wrap, I've heard it doesn't hold up well but suppose it could be wrapped again as time goes by. I've also wondered if the headers could be polished and a new map put on the bike that wouldn't cook them so much. Is there no ceramic coating available in Spain? | |

| Blue would be most welcome. It's the blotchy, nasty, interspersed spots that need help, heck if it were just even that would be better | |
