A friend turned up at a rally this weekend with his GRiSO in a van, after it broke down.
The battery voltage was low and a new replacement battery only lasted another 20km's.
We found the alternator drive belt had shredded into multiple pieces, hence no charge and subsequent low voltage = no go.
This bike had done 45,000 kms.
This a good reminder that this belt is a consumable item and should be replaced periodically.
Better to replace it at home because it is a pain in the arse to do out on the road, even if you have one available.
