Hello,
I had to replace the crank sensor on my 1100 because of oil leak from the cable.
I thought about checking if the gap was correct, between 05-0.7mm as per manual.
Aiming to the middle value of 0.6mm I put a 0.6 spacer on the tip on the sensor, inserted in in place and measured the thikness of the gasket I needed.
It turned out I needed +0.1mm to get to the desired 0.6mm.
So I did.
My impression now is the engine to be a little more harsh and little more unstable at idle.
Hardly noticeable but, it doesn't feel "right" as before.
Question n.1: does the gap affect the actual rpm signal sent to the ecu? Can it make a difference or is it just my mind?
Question n.2: Should I perhaps go back to the stock gasket pack?
Thank you
