Weird start issue

Hey folks,

Sometimes when i start my 06' 1100, the oil light remains on "SERVICE" is displayed.
The engine runs on only one cylinder. Shakes like crazy!

When i go into diagnostics and clear the code, i start the bike it runs completely fine.

This seems to happen whenever the bike has been sitting for a week or two.

I did hear from others that the oil pressure sensor on these bikes are crap, but the one cyllinder thing seems weird.

I don´t think this is a primilarily issue of the oil pressure sensor.
Likely it is caused by a injektion or a ignition issue of this one cylinder.
I would first check replace ignition elements like cable, ignition coil, sparkplug
then propper connection of all of them. Easily you can change the ignition coil
from one side to the other to see whether your problem change from one side to the other.

DSB07 indicates oil pressure sensor. Temporarily fix for me is to skip self test by hitting start as early as possible after ignition on, new sensor in the mail.

Also think you are having two unrelated issues unless your oil pickup is really bad.

I think this is good advice - when i had an ecu problem the only fault that showed on diagnostics was an oil pressure sensor in the "Memo" column
