Removing Transmission for Rear Main Seal

Finally going after the leaking rear main seal today. Got the swingarm and shock out of the way, then it occurred to me ask:

Do I have to remove the motor and gearbox as a unit to separate the transmission??

I think I know the answer but...

Best way is to support the motive unit and lift the frame off it.
