I remember that Bill Hagan (a prominent Ghetto member) has a very nice set-up on his GRiSO with 2 small but bright day light LED lights. He posted the set-up incl some pics on the Ghetto forum but I can't seem to find it. You could pm him.

I put on some Barkbuster "Storm" handguards on my Sport. Some models come with running lights and blinkers - I have both on mine. Just an idea if there is nowhere else to mount them.

Not ideal perhaps, but it works. Having to remove them for changing the fork oil encourages renewal of the packing/gasket. More effective for your purposes if mounted nearer axle height. I used stainless strapping, plus plate aluminium. Note that cheaper LED lights are now readily available.

I used a pair of these 10 Watts each, quite inexpensive, I hooked them across the small park light inside the headlight bucket, you don't need a relay because they only require 9 Volts for full brightness.
