Go for it. Even if you pay a little too much, the stupid grin will wipe away all the memory of the cost.
Risers and Knight Design pegs, and maybe a seat of your favorite flavor.

It is a little pricey and you can find other similar bikes for less. But then you will have to wait, so I guess just go for it. 16k miles is good.

For what it's worth, NADA be damned. It's amazing to me that you can find a low mileage GRiSO 1100 with some seemingly tasty mods for a mere $5k!
Count yourself lucky that the market, in general, doesn't appreciate how great these motorbikes are.
After you've found yourself owning/riding that GRiSO, you'll realize that it is worth every penny of that $5k.

^ Don`t disagree Mr. Steak, esp with the small # of units produced and an even smaller # of units changing hands, the numbers can be skewed with just a few outliers . That said, being unfamiliar with the brand, I had to start somewhere , my 2nd step was coming here.
Anybody have an idea of how many 1100`s were produced `05-`09 ?

I don't know the answer to that production question.
Additionally, Guzzi people, by and large, tend to be on the frugal side for whatever reason. Also, the general nature of Guzzis along with a sparse dealer/service network makes for a broadly DIY ownership corps.
Can you find a decent GRiSO 1100 for $4000 or less in the US? Probably, if you are patient and diligent enough. Not everyone is suited for DIY maintenance and end up cutting them loose, but what condition might that 15 year old bike be in.
I think a well sorted 1100 is certainly worth $5k.
Edit to add: I'd LIKE TO think a well sorted 1100 is certainly worth $5k.

Good deal! I bought my '07 a week ago for just over $5k. One to two years ago, I would've paid about $4k probably. In the last year, used GRiSO's for sale really dried up. I was satisfied I had found a good example, and it was only 2.5 hours away from me, so I pulled the trigger.

Eighteight,
Congratulations on finding a GRiSO. I’m not sure where in Ohio you are but Cadre Cycles in Cincinnati are a shop full of enthusiasts that know their machines & highly recommended.
If you are unfamiliar with the bike & would like someone to have an initial look over your new purchase, they might be worth a visit.
Otherwise there are a few GRiSO owners around Ohio

As mentioned on page one, I`m in 44720 so that puts me 4 hours out from Cadre, ( 2hrs from you ) did have some conversations with Mr. Miller prior to purchase, seems like a good guy. I hope to make that drive only only for any electronic issues ! Figure this forum will keep me straight on "nuts & bolts" I printed the owners / shop / parts manuals awhile back and have been studying [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Thanks !

Ummm, I'll bet it was interesting to her. Just wait, it gets worse, what with grandkids and such.
Back to the subject at hand, if you are heading to Cadre, give me a shout and we can meet there and perhaps find lunch. I'm always up for a visit to Cadre. I'm about 40 minutes away, barely into Indiana on the west side of Cincinnati.

I have. However, that date usually conflicts with other events, like our wedding anniversary. Most of our bikes are eligible to attend those events.

BTW, I just checked the dates for Wauseon 2022, and we;ll be in Colorado for a birthday party then. Taking the GRiSO and the wife's Spyder, of course.

Fortunately Summit Racing has a good selection of 10W-60 , so I popped over at lunch for a 4 pack Amazon is sending oil filters (b/o @ S.R.) and front wheel bearings ( just to have on the shelf ) K-D pegs on the way Think I have enough "Ride-on" to treat the tires The tender plug on bike is different from my chargers , so I`ll have to revise
