Sun reflection off the dashboard

While riding with the sun high in the sky and behind I get the annoying reflection off the dashboard right in my face. I thought of painting the plastic silver edge in black, I believe Beetle's done it, but there is still the clear plastic that reflects. Any suggestions other than throwing a rag over it while it happens.

There's non-reflective and anti-glare film available for LCD screens. Might be worth investigating...

Gees you should come here - sun, sun, sun. Any semblance of grass is so dry it sounds like a thumping great frost has landed on it.
