| Hello all! Very happy to have found out about this site. I have a GRiSO 1200 8v 2009 and love it - of course! My wife enjoys a V7 Classic, so we're a Guzzi family. We live in Fukuoka, Japan and we organize an annual Guzzi rally which attracts about fifty Guzzi bikes of all models. Next one is on Oct. 19. If you're curious about the Guzzi scene in Japan, browsing the pics on our site might be interest. | Good to see you here Nick. If you have your exhaust can off can you have a look in the header pipes and confirm that Japanese models have auxiliary catalysers in the head pipes.? See this thread. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Pete | |

| Welcome to you, our first member from Japan!
Someone, on one of the other Guzzi boards, posted up pictures from your Guzzi gathering last year. It was great fun to review all of the pictures. I especially enjoyed the way that each attendee posed for a photo just as you have with your GRiSO. It was fantastic to see the wide variety of Guzzis along with their attendant riders.

| Welcome mate, really impressed to see the MG collection on the website.
My wife is also a V7 rider (Stone, but previously a Classic). Back in 2011 we spotted and photographed a V7C with a red Duc Monster outside a small restaurant in Takayama - also saw a couple of Aprilias out and about on that visit. We were back in Japan March this year and spent a few enjoyable days around Fukuoka, but saw no Guzzis this time.
I've only had my '08 black beauty for a few months but love every minute on her.

| Welcome Nick, now I am not the only one who is posting from GMT+8/+9 region.
When google モトグッツィ (Moto Guzzi) in Japanese, it is an eye opener, particulaly MAGNI. I think Japanese keep most of the MAGNI churn out from the MAGNI aterlier.

| Welcome! Echoing what everyone else here has said - wow! And all the bikes are such amazing condition. Is this a Japanese legal thing or are all the Guzzi owners in Nippon OCD? I've not seen a single Magni in the flesh (metal?) and there are how many amongst those pics? Nice. Are you the only GRiSO there?
I just realized something - no one appeared to be wearing red suspenders!

Pete Hi Pete - great to have found this site. As you'll remember I'm not much with a wrench,,, but I might be starting soon as my trusted local mechanic has "missing" - need to learn to do some things myself. I'll report back - but might be awhile though ;-)

Welcome, welcome, welcome! Glad you liked the photos - will post more after the next rally on Oct. 19. Great forum you have here - thanks for setting it up. Nick

I've only had my '08 black beauty for a few months but love every minute on her. Very cool - couples with matching Guzzi. Shame that we didn't hook before your last trip here. Next time perhaps. I'll shoot you a PM soon. Nick

Phang Hi Phang, I've enjoyed reading many of your posts on another forum. Nice to see you here too. Were not that far away from each other. Come visit Japan - lots of great mountain roads! And yes, realtively lots of Magni too. Nick

I just realized something - no one appeared to be wearing red suspenders! I'm not the only GRiSO rider, but they haven't sold very well here. The importer had "issues" which severely limited the stock in the early years of the 8v. The Stelvio has sold even less than the GRiSO. The V7 line sells well, as it expected, being a good match for the roads here. Everyone around me wants an older Guzzi - that's where the interest is now. But the GRiSO gets admired wherever I ride it :-) Nick

| Gu'day Nick,
Really loved your Train Cruise episode on NHK World - reckon a GRiSO and SL Hitoyoshi are a perfect combination,
Cheers, David | |
