Some things should never be neglected, owners that don't clean and look after their bikes deserve all the rusty corroded snapped jammed stuck aggro that befalls them.
I knew I didnt want these Genuine Guzzi Spoke Wheels, no fun looking to buy a GRiSO if your only options are limited to the Uk.
My spokes are rusty, not completely and not all of them but most of them are pretty gross, even if the pictures say otherwise.
Was probably the only let down when first saw the bike after traveling over 300 miles to view it.
Been considering black spoke wraps, but can I find any with actual internal measurements can I hell as like.
Guzzi spoke wheels are 5mm near the hub then 4mm the rest of the spoke so necessitating 5mm internal wraps.
Closest I've got is DK customs who sell some for harleys though dont include specs.
Some might say fit new spokes, as far as I know relacing a wheel is a very specialised job. Its called Wheel Building.
You would need a wheel truer, thats not the same as a balancer it uses a straight edge along the wheel to help set it true.
Removing and replacing the odd spoke to replace a seal is one thing but to do the whole wheel
If I only replace a few spokes then ones that are left will look well doggy compared to the new ones, thats if I even knew where to get some??
Anybody want to swap some 3 spoke cast Marchesini or Brembo wheels (heard was the same) for some genuine spoked guzzi wheels. Rims are in excellent condition.
Pressure loss seems quite low as had the bike a couple weeks and pressures are still good 42 rear 36 front.
Looking to get shot of the Termignoni swap for a Mistral Carbon Conic or Highline too!
