Greetings from the DC area. I’m a long time rider hoping to find my first GRiSO. My current stable includes a Ninja 1000 (Z1000SX), Triumph Bonnie and a Honda Bobber. I’ve decided paying off my mortgage will just take a little longer and I’ll treat my frugal self to something I’ve wanted for a few years - the beautiful GRiSO. I look forward to learning from experienced GRiSO owners and contribute some of my own perspectives about riding and bikes in general.

The pictures are showing the tape on the tank damaged which means the tank has swelled from ethanol gas. Just an FYI.

Looks like it's been allowed to throw some lubricant around, based on the schmutz around the front cover and some of the exhaust stains. Couple potential starter-bubbles on tank. Still like it. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Probably just needs rollerising and some new hoses/condom. Perhaps an oil pressure switch and the phase sensor sealing.
Is it just me or does it look like it's got a ding in the RH header?
If it wasn't for Covid id fly over with an A kit and rollerise it and use it for a last 'Big Trip'.

I have to look into that 'condom' thing...during a maintenance start-up in the garage, I noticed some smoke in the headlight rays up front. Not enough for a detectable odor though and no slung schlemick...yet. Amazing I've accomplished a good number of 'mods' but the box full of maintenance fluids and filters is still sitting in the living room. I think I lurched into 'learned helplessness' at the prospect of tackling the swing arm bearings. Maybe it's just an overfill scenario, guess I can at least get it warmed up and check that! I see that it has a metal dipstick though...oweee/gloves required I expect.
