| Hi all, my name is Cory and I have a Guzzi affliction. I have been told there is a cure but it is painful to the point of death being immersed in a room full of BMW owners that all look like clones of Ewan and Charley talking about their latest farkle purchase so I’m resigned to it being terminal.
I live in Chilliwack, BC. I am the administrator for a local Guzzi website, Stradavarious.ca which is a Guzzi forum on rides, events, technical information, product reviews, and mindless off the wall banter. I inherited the site when its creator passed on in a motorcycle incident a couple of years ago. The forum is closed to the general public but you are welcome to join and check it out.
Currently I am on my second GRiSO, the first being a red G11 which at the 60K mark was traded in last year for an barely broken in black G12 with 9K on the clock (at 35K now). The Grisos get about 20K a year of riding as they are my main mode of two wheeled transport, but you can add another 5-7K each year which is divided between my ’02 LeMans, my ’73 Eldo, and my ’66 Velocette Thuxton. My wife rides a ’11 Norge which she says is the most beautiful bike in the world and she says my GRiSO is ugly. No accounting for taste in motorcycles and men.
My riding area stretches from BC down to northern California and over to Montana, and Idaho, but most times you can find me riding in BC, Washington and Oregon.
Why the GRiSO? I find it well balanced and comfortable for long rides once the stock factory suspension settings have been altered from brutally stiff to compliant. Additions include a gawd awful factory windscreen (what were they thinking?) made usable with the addition of a Laminar Lip, soft bags, and a GTRX right side exhaust with DB killer, and a Power Commander to fix the big hole caused by the exhaust. May give the Guzzidiag a try. The only thing that bugs me on the G12 is the fuel range which gives me range anxiety when travelling the back roads. At about 200km before the fuel warning light comes on is extremely skimpy, compared to my G11 which would hit 250km – 260km before warning.
Cheers and safe riding.

| Too bad you didn't make it down here for the Deep Forest campout a couple of weeks ago. Several of your Stradivarious mates made it down. Kiwi Dave, Kiwi Roy and Terry as I recall, but there may be one more but I can't recall.
Anyway, welcome to the ghetto!
And to add, a proper tune and a real map will boost your range to 280+ kms. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special | |

| I had a previous ride commitment that weekend. I plan on stopping by Odell, Oregon on the Saturday evening to visit the Guzzi folk. Saturday will be my first day of a week long ride in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington and back to BC. Three Guzzis and a token BMW. | |

| I've heard about Steak from my buddies that went to the Deep Woods Camp out. They said it is easy to pick him out of a crowd. I'm not sure if that is good or bad. If he makes more noise than my GRiSO I will be pissed. | |

| Sudden computer hard drive crash &%$%^&**, no access to pictures yet so how about a couple of mediocre shots from my phone at the Chilliwack Vintage in the Valley this past Sunday. In one shot Black GRiSO, 66 Thruxton, 47 KSS are mine. White Norge is wife's. In other shot, Champagne LeMans mine, Red/Gray Lemans of my buddy Dave won best European. I tried selling the Vincent for $10K cash while the owner was in the beer garden but no takers. Maybe they aren't worth as much as they say?
