As some may know already, the early 'coarse' thread Valve Clearance Adjuster Screws (M6 x 0.75mm pitch) are no longer available. The later type are M6 x 0.5mm pitch.
I'd heard that KTM use the same type on some of their Engines, so I did a quick search. Third time lucky in my guessing which Engine would use them. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
They look to be the same Swivel-Foot type judging by the parts diagram. I'll know in a few days, I've ordered a couple . . .

Some Husqvarnas use them as well, but it's the same part number.
Pete. Can the Screw(s) be removed without removing the Rocker Arm? Can you depress (open) the Valve for instance, and hold it while you wind the Screw out?

I don't think so. My guess is it would require releasing all six head bolts and then removing the rocker retaining plate. With the piston at TDC compression obviously. Watch out for the 'Pads' on top of the tappet towers.

Cheers. I'll have a play with the Screws on my 'project' 2008 Stelvio Engine when the KTM Screws arrive.

Another possible source, and annoying in a way that it's for Piaggio models . . .
Not been able to find the thread pitch mentioned yet, but it definitely looks to be the same, and with the slotted head.

The KTM Valve Adjust Screws arrived today, and they are indeed the same as the early model ones, result!! Later type underneath for comparison . . . [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Thanks Doc! This has been a source of GRiSO related anxiety.

We have to thank the guy on my FaceBook Stelvio/V85 Group really, it was he that found out originally.

As an addendum to this I decided to chase up on the Piaggio parts so off I trotted to see Nico at Motorini
A top bloke he's helped me out before with stuff and took one look at the parts list picture and grunted and led me out the back and hauled the head of a buggered Vespa out of a bin of parts.
A quick inspection indicated that the adjusters had the right thread but to make sure he gave me the head to take away and disassemble.
A delightfully simple set up it took one spanner and a screwdriver to disassemble and comparing the adjusters by trying to put a 'Late' model nut onto them confirms that they are indeed the right thread as the late model nut won't go on. I've asked Nico to order me another four, (Needless to say the useless importer has nil stock! What a surprise?) ten bux apiece. Can't go wrong.

Maybe worth buying (quite) a few for general consumption, just in case, like!

Already on it Tony! I've ordered a couple more, so I'll have four spares.
Found an alternative (UK) supplier for the Piaggio 82817R [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Hopefully I'll never need them, but my Stelvio is a 'forever' Bike, alongside my '94 NC30, and '97 1200 Bandit.
