First post here at the ghetto, but I’ve had my GRiSO 8V for 7 years. It currently lives with 5 V11’s and 2 V Max’s ( I know that sounds crazy) I live in Derbyshire UK. My GRiSO is a 2012 model, rollerised, doesn’t get used enough as I’m awash with V11’s at the moment

Welcome Guzzimax to our little corner of the inter-webby-thingy. Just like the GRiSO, we are all a little special.

Cheers Oz1200Guzzi, GRiSO’s and for that matter all Guzzi’s are few and far between over here, but it doesn’t get much better than this....[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

A few years ago, I decided that really wanted a V11 as they were the final version of the spine frames, which IMHO were the last of the “raw” sporting big blocks. I found a fabulous 2003 (02 model) black framed Sport, under 6000 miles, apart from a power commander completely stock, and I bought it. And then the V11 bug really bit and I decided that I had to have an early red frame V11 to appreciate the differences. Found a 1999 silver V11 totally unmolested & stock and bought that

Perfectly understandable. I have a 2003 V11 Sport as well as a GRiSO
But that accounts for 2 out of 5 models. Do you have a Scura R tucked away in the garage ?

Following getting 2x V11 Sports I then decided I wanted V11 Le Mans to experience the difference from the naked Sport, so this 2004 Black / Grey Le Mans arrived, then I got the opportunity to buy a Rosso Corsa, so that joined the collezione [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Nice collection
The one area on the V11’s I would improve is the suspension. So I was wondering if you have one of the Ohlins versions

I think you have long surpassed the standard for merely "sounds crazy."
Well done, Sir; well done.

Regarding the question about the V11 suspension, IMHO the Rosso Corsa which has Ohlins forks and shock, does have a plusher better damped ride compared to the standard Marchozzi forks, but I rarely get into a situation where I’m pushing the envelope of the standard V11 units. IMHO the standard Showa GRiSO forks give an good compromise between comfort and handling. If I want to scare myself witless I can always take my VMax out, feels like something similar to a 145 bhp shopping cart...[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][url=https://servimg.com/view/20342595/13][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][/url]

This is my other 1700 VMax, there’s not much to say about these that hasn’t been said before. It manages about 70 miles before the low fuel warning light comes on ....

My GRiSO 8v and V11 Le Mans, both the GRiSO and V11 are IMHO the best sporty Guzzi’s in recent years. Sadly there is nothing a available in the current Guzzi line up to replace them [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
